Things to do in Koh Tao

Koh Tao in the Ko Pha-ngan district of Thailand lies about 45 km from Pha-ngan island, covering roughly 25 square km. It boasts stunning beaches with crystal-clear waters and extensive coral reefs surrounding it, both in deep and shallow areas.

Visitors from around the world come to Koh Tao to master scuba diving, with many schools on the island offering courses. The ideal time to visit is from late December to September, and there is a wide variety of accommodations available for tourists.

Besides diving, the island offers several attractions: Ao Mae Hat Bay is the most populated community on the island and hosts the main pier. Here, visitors can find plenty of restaurants, shops, and tour companies.

Sairi Beach, close to the pier, is the island’s longest beach, featuring soft white sand and a great mix of resorts, hotels, and beach huts. The John-Suwan Viewpoint, situated on Khao Chaloke hill, provides the best panoramic views of the island.

There are many other beautiful beaches to discover, including Laem Hin, Ao Laem Thian, Ao Tanote, Ao Luek, Hat Sai Daeng, Laem Ta To, Ao Chaloke, Ban Kao, and more.
