Tours & Activities
Hawaii is a U.S. state made up of several volcanic islands in the central Pacific Ocean, best known for its warm climate, beautiful beaches, lush landscapes, and rich Polynesian culture.
The main islands visited by tourists are Oahu, Maui, Hawaiʻi Island, and Kauaʻi. Oahu is home to Honolulu, Waikīkī Beach, Pearl Harbor, and many cultural and historical attractions. Maui is popular for scenic coastal drives, whale watching in season, beaches, and Haleakalā National Park. Hawaiʻi Island offers active volcanic landscapes, black-sand beaches, and diverse scenery, while Kauaʻi is known for its dramatic cliffs, valleys, waterfalls, and quieter atmosphere.
Visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, kayaking, scenic drives, cultural performances, and local food such as poke, kalua pig, and shave ice.
The islands have different climates, so conditions can vary greatly between the coast and higher elevations; bringing sun protection, light clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and a light rain jacket is useful.
Travelers should also respect local customs, protect coral reefs and wildlife, follow trail and ocean-safety guidance, and remember that some natural sites require reservations or have limited access.
